Stephany D. Baker is a Bay Area native, transformational executive, and founder of SparrowBaker Consulting Group — a firm built on the belief that every person, from the youngest student to the most seasoned professional, carries immeasurable worth and untapped potential.
With more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in higher education and organizational management, Stephany has directed operations at some of the nation's most prestigious institutions, including Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and San Jose State University. She has overseen portfolios exceeding $2B, led enterprise change affecting 800+ employees, eliminated institutional deficits without staff reductions, and achieved zero violations across all federal, state, and accreditation audits. Her expertise spans human resources, finance, facilities, compliance, organizational development, and people strategy — making her one of the most versatile and proven executive consultants in her field.
Stephany holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice from San Jose State University, and a Master of Science in Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Committed to lifelong learning and her faith calling, she also attended Golden Gate Theological Seminary, completing coursework in Biblical Studies, Christian Education, Spiritual Development, Women's Studies, Hermeneutics, Old and New Testament, and Biblical Preaching. She has been recognized with the UC Berkeley Excellence in Leadership Award for Strategic Performance and the Stanford University Dean's Award of Merit — honors that reflect a career defined by both measurable results and meaningful impact.
